The Bharatiya Youth Parliament aims to inspire and empower the youth of India through democratic participation, leadership development, and nationalistic values. We celebrate the legacy of Swami Vivekananda and his vision for a strong, united India.

Highlights from BYP 2025

The first Bharatiya Youth Parliament was successfully organized on 12th January 2025. The event was graced by Shri Jual Oram, Hon'ble Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, whose inspiring presence added great value to the occasion.

Bharatiya Youth Parliament – 12 January 2026

1. Total Participation & Seat Allocation

  • • A total of 100 Youth Parliamentary Participants will be registered
  • • Seats will be divided as follows:
  • - 50 participants – Ruling Side
  • - 50 participants – Opposition Side
  • • Allocation will be done by Jury & Committee based on evaluation

2. Selection of Cabinet Members & Opposition Leader

  • • Council of Ministers selected from Ruling Side
  • • Youth Opposition Leader selected from Opposition Side
  • • Based on:
  • - Video submissions
  • - Evaluation marks
  • - Leadership qualities
  • - Educational background

3. Mandatory Video Submissions

  • • Video Introduction
  • • Appeal Video (upload + link)
  • • Oath Video after selection
  • • Failure → Moved to General Participant

4. Video Quality & Topic Requirement

  • • HD or 4K preferred
  • • Must strictly follow registered topic
  • • Poor quality may lower scores

5. Evaluation & Marks (Total: 10)

  • • Timely Submission – 1
  • • Collaboration Video – 1
  • • Higher Education (PG+) – 1
  • • Political Academic Background – 1
  • • Speaking Skills – 2
  • • Leadership – 2
  • • Vision & Democratic Understanding – 2
  • • Final role allocation depends on evaluation + educational background

6. Jury & Committee Authority

  • • Allocate Ruling / Opposition
  • • Select Ministers
  • • Appoint Opposition Leader
  • • Reassign roles if needed
  • • All decisions final & binding

7. Social Media Engagement

  • • Promotion may improve evaluation
  • • BYP may use submitted/public content

8. Quiz Restriction

• Youth MPs are not eligible for quiz participation

9. Best Youth MP Award

  • • One winner
  • • Prize: ₹11,000 + Certificate
  • • Based on performance & conduct

10. Logistics & Conduct

  • • No TA/DA or accommodation
  • • Maintain strict parliamentary decorum

11. Acceptance of Conditions

  • • Accept 50 Ruling / 50 Opposition model
  • • Accept video & evaluation rules
  • • All decisions final

12. Parliamentary Proceedings

Zero Hour:
  • • 15–20 Youth MPs selected to raise issues
  • • Based on relevance + conduct
  • • Evaluated by Jury & Committee
Question Hour:
  • • 5–10 MPs ask ministry questions
  • • Youth Ministers must answer professionally
  • • Both sides are evaluated
Evaluation:
  • • Clarity, discipline, participation
  • • Scores may influence awards
  • • Jury may adjust rules for fairness
  • • Decisions final

Global Summit Participation

Bharatiya Youth Parliament – 12 January 2026

1. Nature of the Global Summit

  • • The Global Summit runs parallel to the Bharatiya Youth Parliament
  • • Encourages:
  • - Leadership thinking
  • - Nation-building vision
  • - Policy-oriented discussion
  • - Motivational & thematic speeches
  • • Open but evaluated format similar to a national youth conclave

2. Eligibility & Registration

  • • Open to youth leaders, students, professionals, policymakers, and socially active youth
  • • Registration via:
  • - Official website
  • - Social media links
  • - Institutional nomination
  • - Open digital forms
  • • Registration alone does not guarantee speaking

3. Mandatory Video Submission

  • • Short speech video on the selected theme is mandatory
  • • Requirements:
  • - Clear video/audio (HD/4K preferred)
  • - Speaker must be visible
  • - Theme must match registered topic
  • - No abusive or objectionable content
  • • No video → Not eligible for speaking slot

4. Selection & Evaluation

  • • Videos evaluated based on:
  • - Clarity of thought
  • - Public speaking ability
  • - Vision for India
  • - Confidence & communication
  • - Originality of ideas
  • • Only limited speakers selected due to time constraints
  • • Jury has full authority over approval, order, duration, and topics
  • • All decisions final and binding

5. Speaking Opportunity & Protocol

  • • Selected participants get fixed time slots
  • • Speakers must:
  • - Follow time limits
  • - Maintain decorum
  • - Respect stage instructions
  • • Violations may lead to stoppage or disqualification

6. Travel, Stay & Allowances

• No TA/DA, accommodation, or meals provided
• Logistics are participant's responsibility

7. Institutional / Remote Participation

  • • Available for institutions unable to attend physically
  • • Must be conducted from an official hall or auditorium
  • • No TA/DA or travel support for remote participants

8. Certification & Exposure

  • • Official participation certificate for all
  • • Access to research & guidance periodically
  • • Selected speakers may receive national-level exposure

9. Content Rights & Media Usage

• BYP can record, publish, and use submitted or public content
• No objections or claims allowed

10. Code of Conduct

• Indiscipline, misrepresentation, or misuse may result in disqualification

11. Authority & Amendments

  • • BYP may modify rules or schedules as needed
  • • Participation implies acceptance of all terms

12. Limited Seats & Speaking Selection

  • • Total capacity: 60 participants
  • • Only 15–20 selected speakers speak on stage
  • • Selection based on evaluation + structured lottery + time availability
  • • Registration does not guarantee speaking
  • • Non-selected participants:
  • - Recognized as Global Summit Delegates
  • - Receive certificates
  • - Participate in full proceedings
  • • Final decisions rest with Jury & Organizing Committee
